Welcome to the AAHSA site...

Established in 1983, AAHSA is a network of more than 70 non-profit community-based health and human service organizations representing a broad spectrum of critical and essential services in our community.

The mission of the Austin Area Human Services Association is to convey the human service needs of the Austin area community to policy makers and the public and to support member organizations in meeting these needs.

April General Membership Meeting

Dear AAHSA Supporters,

Reserve your boxed and lunch and join us this Thursday, April 17th, 11:30am – 1pm for AAHSA’s regular monthly general membership meeting.

We are returning to the offices of WorkSource, 6505 Airport Blvd in the Lone Star room. View map .

Joining us as guest speaker is Richard Meyer, Vice President for Public Policy for the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations (TANO). As VP of Public Policy at TANO, Mr. Meyer monitors pending legislation involving the interests of nonprofit entities in the Texas Legislature and U.S. Congress and is the Texas liaison to the National Council of Nonprofit Associations (NCNA) in Washington, D.C. Mr. Meyer’s topic to AAHSA membership is "Transforming a Nonprofit to Social Entrepreneurship: Legal and Public Policy Issues".
